Welcome to Coach Gowens' 4th Grade Class

This is the first year at Pawnee for Coach Gowens. He lives in Nordheim, Texas where he graduated from high school. Coach Gowens has worked other jobs prior to teaching, including working for Child Protective Services. He went to college and graduated in 2002 from Texas A&M at Corpus Christi, Texas, with a desire to work with and to help kids. His first year of teaching and coaching at Pawnee has him working with grades 4 through 8. As the boys basketball and track coach, he coaches 5th through 8th grades; however, his regular classroom keeps him busy with 4th grade and he enjoys teaching his 3rd and 4th grade P.E. class. Coach Gowens believes that the only way our world can be a better place is with our kids and it all starts with us. We have to challenge our children and push them to see beyond their potential.
