Elaine Richardson
Mrs. Richardson graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas in 1972. She decided, once attending college, that she wanted to be a teacher. She has brought to Pawnee a wealth of education and experience. She spent ten years teaching Math and German to 7th through 12th graders in San Antonio, Beeville and finally Karnes City. After teaching, she spent the first three years of her career in administration as the principal of the junior high in Karnes City. After that, she became the Special Programs Director for seven years. Always looking for a challenge, Mrs. Richardson accepted the principal position of Roger E. Sides Elementary in Karnes City, and held that position for two and a half years. In January of 2003, she became Pawnee ISD's Superintendent. She believes that all kids can learn, just not at the same pace or at the same time. We have to continue to strive to meet the needs of each student.
